Community Crew
Community television lives up to its promise only if the community gets involved. The idea of Community Crew allows residents to work side-by-side with NCTV17’s professional crew to create programming that directly reflects the community in which they live. Through its Community Crew, NCTV17 provides an opportunity for volunteers to learn a new skill while helping their local, nonprofit cable station showcase the many wonderful events and activities taking place throughout the Naperville area.

WHO MAY APPLY:
Anyone interested in being a Crew member must meet the following requirements:
a) Must be 18 years or older
b) Must reside within the attendance boundaries of Naperville Community Unit School District 203 or Indian Prairie School District 204 or work within the City of Naperville. North Central College students currently enrolled at the college are also eligible
c) Must be able to lift 20 pounds, stand for two hours, and be comfortable operating equipment outdoors in both hot and cold temperatures
d) Must be comfortable operating technology

WHO MAY NOT APPLY:
Persons requiring service hours mandated through the Court System are not accepted into the Volunteer Community Crew Program.

    If NCTV17 agrees to accept your services as a volunteer, we will commit to providing you adequate information, training, and supervision as a volunteer to carry out the responsibilities of the position. You will agree to perform duties as outlined in the position description to the best of your abilities, meet time and duty commitments or provide adequate notice to your supervisor so alternate arrangements can be made, and adhere to the code of conduct, including confidentiality of information. You understand that volunteers are not employees of the organization, receive no direct monetary compensation and no special consideration if applying for a paid position. NCTV17 will do our best to make you experience as a volunteer a productive and rewarding one.

    Photo Release and Hold Harmless Agreement


    I agree that NCTV17 may use my likeness in any promotional materials that will be used to promote NCTV17. As a volunteer, I recognize and acknowledge that there may be a risk of physical injury and I agree to assume the full risk of any injuries, including death, damages or loss which I may sustain as a result of participating in any and all activities connected with or associated with the volunteer program. I agree to release and hold harmless NCTV17, its agents, employees, and volunteers from all damages, judgments, expenses (including attorney fees), costs or liabilities suffered because of injury or damage of property, which may arise out of, or as a consequence of , any volunteer work I may perform. I understand that my volunteer status may be terminated at any time for failure to comply with policies and procedures of NCTV17, including those of the volunteer program, or when in the judgment of the station, continued service as a volunteer would be contrary to the best interest of the organization. I understand that NCTV17 may conduct periodic background checks and I will provide any additional information as requested.
