Allison Longenbaugh City Council Candidate

Allison Longenbaugh is running for City Council in the 2023 Naperville Consolidated Election.

A little background on Allison Longenbaugh

My husband and I moved to Naperville 18 years ago to raise our family. I’m a Vice President in the Investment Bank at J.P. Morgan and have been with them for 30 years. As a subject-matter expert and analyst, I’ve spent my career working collaboratively with diverse teams to solve problems and to drive process improvements, which is a valuable experience to have on Council.

I started going to Council meetings back in 2016 during the 5th Avenue Train Station development discussion because I saw how Council decisions could impact my community. I have attended every City Council meeting since 2019 and am very active in the community.

I serve as a Trustee on the Library Board and on its Executive Board as Secretary; I was the official Council Observer for the League of Women Voters, I launched The Rundown on social media where I research agenda items and share summaries and live commentary of all Council meetings, and I graduated from both the Citizens Police and Fire Academies. I am proud to be endorsed by the Naperville Professional Firefighters!

What does Allison Longenbaugh want to accomplish if elected to City Council?

If elected, my priorities are to be a responsible steward of our tax dollars to continue to deliver the excellent city services we expect, to balance residential and commercial development in a transparent process that involves all stakeholders, and to bring people together by focusing on shared experiences that make our town a desirable place to visit and live. Naperville is at the top of a lot of lists, and I will work tirelessly to keep us there by making informed decisions involving all stakeholders. I am truly running for Naperville!
