Chris Colfer at Anderson’s:
Former Glee star Chris Colfer is returning to Anderson’s Bookshop. The New York Times bestselling author and Golden Globe-winning actor will be in town promoting his new book, “A Tale of Magic.” Colfer will appear at Anderson’s on October 3 at 7 p.m. for a book signing. Tickets are available on Anderson’s website and include a copy of the book and a place in line.
Quidditch Match:
Chasers, beaters, and seekers came out to Washington Jr. High yesterday for the Naperville Public Library‘s Quidditch tournament. With the help of Loyola University Chicago’s Quidditch team, about 30 kids ran through drills and learned the rules of the magical game. Then it was time to put those skills to the test by playing a few matches. This is the fourth year the library has hosted the event, which always falls on Harry Potter’s birthday, July 31.

Konrad Plays All America Cup:
Congratulations to Naperville North boys soccer All-State forward Ty Konrad, who played in the Allstate All America Cup yesterday in Orlando, Florida. Konrad was one of 40 boys players selected nationally, playing for a team coached by former MLS and U.S. National Team star Taylor Twellman. Team Twellman won 2-1 in penalty kicks. Konrad and his Huskie teammates will go for their fourth consecutive State Championship this fall.
