COD Faculty Association Rally

Last night the College of DuPage Faculty Association rallied for a contract after many months of negotiations. Just before the Board of Trustees regular board meeting, the union gathered on campus with hundreds of members and supporters. The board announced it had signed a formal mediation agreement, just an hour before the rally began, which was something the CODFA had called for back in July. Classes begin again on Monday, while the next bargaining session is on August 27, where the CODFA’s latest contract offer will be discussed.

Dog Sculpture Winners

It was a ruff competition but the Downtown Naperville Alliance has crowned the winner of the most popular pup for its summer sculptures. “Hope”, the canine sponsored by ADOPT Pet Shelter took home first place, followed by tying silver medalists Naperville Bank & Trust’s “Keeping Naperville Safe” dog and Team NEF’s “That Dog Won’t Hurt,” while third went to Zano Salon & Spa’s “The Hair of the Dog” sculpture. NCTV17’s own Scoop came in sixth. Congrats to all of this year’s pawsome sponsors and artists.
