COD Tentative Contract Agreement
The College of DuPage’s teacher’s union and Board of Trustees have reached a tentative agreement on a contract. The board has been in negotiations with the faculty association since March, whose current contact expired on August 14. The CODFA represents over 300 full-time faculty, and has organized on-campus rallies to push for a fair contract. CODFA President Shannon Toler said the agreement puts students first and recognizes that teaching matters. The union and board hope the agreement is put to a vote to be ratified in the near future.
Illinois Ranks High for Teachers
And Illinois was just ranked sixth in the nation for best states for teachers. The report comes from personal finance site WalletHub. It looked at income growth potential, student-teacher ratio, teacher safety and other factors when ranking the states best to worst for the profession. Illinois also ranked 11th for teacher salaries, according to a National Education Association study.
Game On! Cast Revealed
It’ll be a sitcom showdown as these two teams battle it out for the title of Game On! champion. Last night at Solemn Oath Brewery, 95.9 The River’s Danielle Tufano revealed who will be starring in episode nine of NCTV17’s own game show Game On! For Team Primetime Amanda Kunzer will be the captain, as she’s joined by team members Mari Rodriguez from DynaCom, Keith Hartenberger from Edward-Elmhurst Health, and Colton Antos from CodeVerse. Team Late Night will captained by School District 203’s Jacque Clermont, who will lead Bernicky Law Firm’s James Bernicky, Alzheimer’s Association’s Kaylin Risvold, and T2 Asset Management’s Paul Novak.
