Tuition Hike at COD:
Tuition at College of DuPage is going up by a dollar a credit hour. The change was voted through by COD board members, who approved raising tuition to $137 per credit hour for in-district students. Out of district students will pay $324 per credit hour, and out of state students, $394. The change is expected to generate about $450,000 in additional revenue for the college. This is the second time in two years that the college has raised tuition: the new rates begin this fall.
DuPagePads Addition:
DuPagePads is building an addition to its client services building. The $450,000 addition will address the need for more offices for case management, and space for clients to meet with outside groups in a confidential setting. It will also provide more workshop space for on-site programs. The project was first announced in 2018, but due to a few delays, is finally making moves toward completion at the end of September. DuPagePads has been working to provide support, education and housing for the homeless in DuPage County since 1985.
