Community Job Fair
The Naperville Park District and KidsMatter are coming together tomorrow to host the 2020 Community Job Fair. Those on the hunt for summer, seasonal or year-round part-time employment can stop by the Fort Hill Activity Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and visit with a number of employers. Opportunities are available for those of high school age through seniors. The event will also offer mock interviews and resume building tips.
Jersey Collection
A Naperville resident’s love of sports has led to a big collection. Rob Fascia has a lifetime’s worth of sports memorabilia, including over 700 jerseys. A collector for over three decades, Fascia has jerseys that represent bygone eras, or even sports teams that have been discontinued. From retro favorites to modern classics and everything in between. Fascia doesn’t see himself slowing down anytime soon, and says he’ll continue adding to his 700 strong jersey collection.
World Peace Day
On Sunday, Naperville Interfaith Leaders Association will hold their 15th annual World Peace Day Interfaith Prayer Service. The event starts at 2:30 p.m. at Wentz Hall, and promotes unity and peace throughout the community. This year’s theme is 20/20 Vision: Seeking a World Where Everyone Belongs.
Cinnaholic Naperville
There’s a sweet new business coming to downtown Naperville this month. Cinnaholic will be opening at 41 W. Jefferson Avenue, offering up a variety of gourmet cinnamon rolls and other sweet treats. The great thing about these goodies is they’re both egg and dairy free. Their grand opening is set for Friday, January 17. The Naperville location and a new Schaumburg shop are the first Cinnaholics to open in Illinois.
