Threatening voicemails to multiple Naperville schools under investigation
The Naperville Police Department is investigating a series of phone calls made Tuesday evening, threatening violence to multiple schools in Naperville School District 203.
Superintendent Dan Bridges emailed the school community, informing everyone of voicemail messages left for the main office, including threats of bombs and weapons.

Fort Hill Activity Center sets records
Naperville Park District’s Fort Hill Activity Center broke previously set records for participation, according to a recent report from officials.
In the first two months of 2026, Fort Hill’s fitness memberships exceeded 9,600, and more than 43,000 visits to the venue were tallied through late February. The statistics reportedly represent a 2% increase from the first two months in 2025.
Additionally, through February, more than 26,000 visits were reported at Fort Hill’s track, representing a 3% increase, and more than 18,900 participants signed up for group exercise classes at the venue, representing a 7% increase.
Will County seeks bikes for recycling initiative
The Forest Preserve District of Will County is seeking unwanted bicycles for its Recycle Your Bicycle program.
The bicycles will be donated to “Working Bikes,” an organization that restores and distributes bicycles globally to individuals with disabilities and those in developing countries.
From April 11-26, bicycles can be dropped off at several locations, including Hidden Oaks Preserve, Isle a la Cache Museum and McKinley Woods.
Benet alum Blake Fagbemi headed to Final Four with Illinois
The NCAA men’s basketball Final Four tips off this weekend in Indianapolis. 2025 Benet Academy grad Blake Fagbemi, who helped lead the Redwings to their first state championship last winter, is a freshman guard for the University of Illinois.
He is the first Naperville area player to compete in the Final Four since Benet alum Frank Kaminsky led the University of Wisconsin to the 2015 championship game.
The Fighting Illini (28-8) square off against UConn (33-5) in the first semifinal matchup on Saturday at 5 p.m. on TBS. The winner advances to the national championship to face the winner of the Michigan-Arizona game.
