DuPage Children’s Museum Bubble Bash:

Tomorrow is New Year’s Eve, and there are plenty of places to celebrate in Naperville. Families can get an early start on the New Year at the DuPage Children’s Museum, at their eighteenth annual Bubble Bash. The kid-centered celebration kicks off at 9 a.m. with special activities, live music, and of course, all the museum’s regular exhibits. The highlight is the ringing in of 2020 with a special countdown at noon.

Carillon Countdowns:

But if you’d rather be outdoors to welcome in the New Year, stop by the Carillon. There’ll be two celebrations – one for the kids, starting at 5:30, the other for the grown-ups, kicking off at 11:30. The early event will feature hot cocoa, music, bells, glow sticks and a countdown to 6 p.m., while the later event will feature Carillon music and a tolling of the bells when the clock strikes midnight.

Local Players in NFL:

As the NFL heads towards the playoffs, we’d like to congratulate five local players on great seasons in the pros. Tight end Cameron Brate from Naperville Central wrapped up another solid year in Tampa Bay with over 30 catches and 300 yards.

Naperville North grad James O’Shaughnessy had a career high two touchdown catches with the Jacksonville Jaguars in the first five games before hurting his knee.

Two former Waubonsie Valley stars suited up for the Denver Broncos this year. Tight end Troy Fumagalli caught his first career touchdown pass, while defensive tackle Jonathan Harris recorded his first career tackles.

Naperville North alum Matt Lacosse recovered from an early season injury and will head into the playoffs as a key player for the New England Patriots.
