House Fire
Two firefighters and one resident were injured in a house fire in Naperville Saturday afternoon, which caused over $300,000 in damages.
The Naperville Fire Department said in a news release it responded to a home on the 3300 block of Keller Lane around 1:40 p.m. after receiving a call from a resident reporting that the back of their house was on fire. Upon arrival, firefighters saw heavy smoke and fire coming from the home’s roof. They were able to bring the blaze under control in about 25 minutes.
Two firefighters sustained heat-related injuries. One was treated on scene and released, the other was taken to Edward Hospital in stable condition. One resident was also treated on the scene and released. The cause of the fire is under investigation and the home has been deemed uninhabitable.

Road resurfacing on Washington Street
Road resurfacing will take place beginning today, June 26, to Friday, June 30, on Washington Street between Bauer and Warrenville Roads, according to a Naper Notify alert from the city of Naperville.
Two-way traffic is expected to be maintained, but there’s the possibility of rolling lane closures and delays.
