KidsMatter’s Annual Digital Summit

This morning KidsMatter’s Digital Leader Summit returned for the second year in a row. Nearly 400 students from school districts 203 and 204 participated in the event, which aims to empower fourth through eighth graders to be leaders. They went through multiple different technology workshops, from cyber security to collaborating with others. School staff hand-selected the students who participated, for their leadership already being demonstrated at their schools.

CU Kind Day

Yesterday, 60 credit unions across Illinois used their day off to spread kindness. The Illinois Credit Union League launched its first annual CU Kind Day, as a statewide initiative dedicated to volunteerism and doing good deeds. Locally the DuPage Credit Union surprised first responders at the Naperville fire and police departments with special gift baskets. Over at Feed My Starving Children many other credit union employees from the area packed goods for children in need around the world. Stay tuned to NCTV17 for a full story about CU Kind Day.
