Correction – Due to unseasonably warm temperatures, the hockey games scheduled for Sunday may not be able to take place. Watch the Bobby Hull Community Ice Rink Facebook page for updates.

Naper Lights

There’s still a chance to catch a bit of Naperville holiday spirit. Tonight is the last night for Naper Lights. The light display along Water Street in downtown Naperville was put together by Naperville Sunrise Rotary, in partnership with the Water Street Downtown Naperville, Marquette and Ryan Hill Group. This was the first year the display dazzled along the DuPage, after moving from its previous location in Naper Settlement. You can catch your last glimpse from 4 to 9 p.m. tonight.

Will County’s Photo Contest

If you’re out and about getting some fresh air in the Will County Forest Preserves this weekend, take along a camera to capture that perfect shot. There’s still time to enter it into the forest preserve’s “Preserve the Moment” photo contest. The contest has been on since April, with winners chosen each month. December’s winner will be entered along with the other months for a chance to win the overall contest, and a $500 Visa gift card. The public can take part by voting for their favorites in January on the Forest Preserve District’s Facebook page.

Outdoor Hockey

And you might as well stay outdoors and enjoy some outdoor Hockey on Sunday at the Bobby Hull Community Ice Rink with some of our local teams. At 10:00 Am the Neuqua Valley Wildcats will battle Sandburg and then Benet Academy will follow that game at 11:45 facing off against the DuPage Stars. There is no charge for any of the hockey games so bundle up and head out to the rink to enjoy a true hockey experience!
