B.Good Grand Opening:

Tomorrow is the grand opening for B.Good, a fresh-focused casual restaurant coming to Springbrook Prairie Pavilion on 75th Street. They look to offer healthier alternatives with a farm-to-table approach, and provide a free meal for kids 12 and under through the end of March with the purchase of an adult entrée. Their grand opening party will be from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., with smoothie samples and prize giveaways all day, a chance to win free B.Good for a year, live music from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and a swag bag and free entrée gift for the next visit to the first 100 customers. This is the third B.Good location to open in Illinois.

UrgiKids UCA Accreditation:

Another local business, UrgiKids, has received accreditation through the Urgent Care Association, which is the highest level of distinction for urgent care centers. The kid-focused urgent care center at 2835 Showplace Drive is staffed by licensed pediatric providers, and takes walk-in patients through extended hours. It’s among the first urgent care facilities focusing solely on pediatrics in Illinois.

Citations Over Holidays:

The Naperville Police Department issued 31 seat belt citations during their Click-it-or-Ticket and Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaigns, held from December 17 through January 2. During the additional enforcement over holiday break, they also issued 18 speeding citations, three uninsured motorist citations and one suspended/revoked license citation. The campaign was part of a statewide effort to encourage safer driving.Scary Moment On The Court:

Last night on the road at Augustana, North Central College Basketball player Blaise Meredith had a scary moment on the court, that thankfully ended with no permanent injury – and just a quick warning, it’s a bit tough to watch. In a move now viewed millions of times, the sophomore guard made an incredible chase down block, before slamming his head into the front of the backboard. Despite the frightening collision, the Neuqua Valley graduate was okay and even returned to the game moments later. Unfortunately, his acrobatic block was not enough as the Cardinals fell to the third ranked Vikings 76-59. You can see Blaise Meredith and NCC back in action right here on NCTV17 Saturday night at 7 p.m. against Elmhurst starting with the women’s game at 5 p.m.
