Little Friends’ Parade of Lights
Later today parts of Downtown Naperville will light up for the annual Little Friends’ Parade of Lights. The parade route will start at Centennial Beach, and will end at Naper Elementary School. After the parade kids will have the chance to meet Mr. and Mrs. Claus at their Riverwalk home until 9pm. If you can’t make it to the parade, don’t worry we have you covered as we’ll be broadcasting the event on our channel, and you can check it on our website or Facebook.
Santa’s Mailbox
If you haven’t made your Christmas wish list, now’s a great time as jolly old Saint Nick’s mailbox is now open. This is the fifth year Santa’s Mailbox has a setup spot in Naperville, which can be found in its usual location at the corner of Main Street and Van Buren. No postage is required, but be quick as Santa’s elves will stop collecting your wish list on December 20.

And if you want to ask Santa for your gifts in-person you’ll have the chance on Saturday, as he’s temporarily relocating from the North Pole to the Naperville Riverwalk. This is the 18th year the Naperville Park District decorated the Free Speech Pavilion for the man in red temporary stay. Admission is free, and will be open to the public through December 22. IHSA All State Football Team
The All State Football teams were recently released by the Illinois High School Coaches Association. Wide receiver Matt Maschmeier of Naperville North was named first team All State in class 8A. The Senior was also a star defensive back and kick returner this season. Neuqua Valley quarterback Mark Gronowski was also an 8A first team All State pick after leading the Wildcats to a DVC Championship and the 2nd round of the IHSA playoffs. Naperville Central senior wide receiver Jadon Thompson was named an All State honorable mention.
