Solar Power Hour
More than 30 people gathered at the Naperville Municipal Center for DuPage Clean Energy Coalition’s (DCEC) Solar Power Hour. The session informed residents about Solarize Chicago, an education group and purchasing program for solar power. Participants learned about the implications of renewable energy as well as how much owning solar panels cost. The meeting ended with a Q&A and you can watch the full story later on today on Naperville News 17 at 6 p.m.
Destination Asia Festival
The Morton Arboretum is once again hosting its Destination Asia festival this weekend. Today through Sunday, visitors to the arboretum can experience the diverse cultures of Asia through performances, live music, and other demonstrations. There will also be information about the Morton Arboretum’s collection of trees native to Asia. More information on the festival can be found on the arboretum website.
League of Women Voters
Seven League of Women Voters chapters in DuPage County, including Naperville, are encouraging more active voter participation. They’ve formed a team along with DuPage County Clerk Jean Kaczmarek to recruit election judges, provide voting services in senior living centers, and advocate for more election resources.
Rock The Hill
Grab your lawn chairs and blankets and get ready for an evening of live music. The https://www.napervilleparks.org/’s Rock The Hill event returns tonight to Rotary Hill. Local band OMT will take the hill at 7 p.m. for a variety of rock and country tunes.
