About the Awards

Individuals, businesses, and organizations that make an impact in our community. That’s what it’s all about at the Naperville Jaycees’ 41st Annual Distinguished Service Awards.

“We’ve been very fortunate that the community, and a lot of community entities, have been nominating such wonderful people year after year,” said Naperville Jaycees President Miranda Barfuss. “But the Distinguished Service Awards is kind of another gift we give to the community. Just honoring all those unsung heroes in our midst and honoring what is important to our mission, which is leadership development through community service.”

And the Winners Are…

Eight awards were handed out at the event held at Meson Sabika. Some of those included Healthcare Professional to Dr. Aaron Weiner from Linden Oaks Behavioral Health, and Community Leader to Dennise Vaughn from Homewatch CareGivers.

“In this community, when I honestly feel like I’m surrounded everyday by people who are such amazing leaders, I never thought I’d receive something like this,” said Vaughn.

The Chuck Bueche Lifetime Achievement Award went to Patti Boheme from Little Friends.

A night to honor notable Napervillians.
