Visitors to A.D.O.P.T. Pet Shelter sunk their canines into some sweet treats on Saturday.
The no-kill shelter put on a Spring “Cookie Walk” where customers could tour their facility and buy baked goods with all of the proceeds going directly to animal care at the nonprofit.
“That means just providing for the animals,” said A.D.O.P.T. Pet Shelter Executive Director Chris Stirn. “Like their food, their shelter, and any medical expenses they may incur while they are here.
It took more than 40 volunteers to bake all the cookies, bars, brownies, and breads for the event. Visitors could also pick up some treats for their furry friends at home.
Some lucky customers even got a kiss goodbye on the way out.
