Two Naperville businesses have created a sweet partnership to benefit each other and their customers.
Jacqueline Mejia has just opened her own pastry shop, Atrévete Confections, but a lot sooner than she expected.
She was working out of Saage Culinary Studio’s shared kitchen on Aurora Avenue, fulfilling a dream of becoming a chef, but when the studio’s owner made her an offer to have her own storefront inside Saage, Mejia couldn’t refuse.
“We really didn’t think we would open a shop until a couple of years from now because we were just doing markets,” said Mejia. “But now we’re here and we’ll see how it goes.”
Mejia says her menu is still ever changing, but finally her location is not.
If you want to check out the store you can stop by Saage Culinary Studio or you can still find Mejia at farmer’s markets in Aurora and Oswego on weekends.
