Hundreds of kids have been visiting jolly old Saint Nick at Santa House this season, and telling him what they want for Christmas.
“We always have baby dolls, we always have Hatchimals, we always have Legos, American Girl doll, and a lot of them like the little cars and the remote control cars,” said Santa. “Some of them are asking about drones but I don’t know. That’s a lot of electronics because if they hit a tree, they’re gone.”
But Santa wants to remind everyone that Christmas is about more than what shows up under the tree.
“I hope they remember that Christmas is a time for us to share, and a time for us to give. That’s why I like to be able to give some gifts out to all the kids along the way. And then to have a very enjoyable day and remembering all of the meanings that we have for Christmas,” said Santa.
With so much preparation before December 24, Santa gets a lot of help from Mrs. Claus, the elves, and of course the reindeer. But if you’re wondering what Saint Nick wants from the busy holiday…
“What do I want for Christmas? I just want them all to have a good time, to have a nice day, to have a calmness in their own house and to be able to be with their families,” he said.
Santa house has been in Naperville for 20 years, and meeting Santa in person guarantees tons of smiles this holly jolly holiday.
“Ho Ho Ho! Merry Christmas everybody! Even you who aren’t in Naperville and those of you who are,” added Santa. “Merry Christmas!”
