A DuPage County judge has ruled that a proposed question seeking to annex Lisle, Woodridge and Warrenville into Naperville will not appear on the April 4 ballot in any of the towns – something supported by all four of the towns’ mayors.
Judge Paul M. Fullerton dismissed the question with prejudice for Woodridge and Warrenville because petitions circulated in those towns in early January did not receive enough signatures to be valid, with both having less than half of the required amount.
In regards to Lisle, the question was dismissed with prejudice due to improper procedure used in filing the petition.
All four mayors spoke out against the anonymously proposed petition at a January 9 press conference.
