$21,838 allegedly put in a personal bank account
According to a press release from the Naperville Police Department, Boy Scout Troop 1776 had reported in February of this year that they were missing thousands of dollars out of their bank account.
Upon investigation, police say they discovered a total of $21,838 in cash and unauthorized checks had been made out to Miller, and then allegedly deposited in his personal bank account. Authorities said the transactions had been made between May 2021 and November 2022.
Police said Miller had been the treasurer of the troop.
