Naperville’s ISKCON Temple is securing their foundation.
Yesterday, the ISKCON Temple, also known as the Radha Krishna Temple, celebrated and blessed the installation of their new temple’s foundation stones.
“It’s a Vedic ceremony, we call it ‘This is the Vedic System.’ It’s an auspicious event, we set up the stones, which promotes auspiciousness and I would also say good luck,” said Paratul Patel, the secretary of ISKCON Naperville.
Since the current temple opened in 2010, the congregation grew rapidly, which brought the need for a larger building.
After the ceremony was food and fundraising to go toward the new temple’s construction, expected to start as early as this fall.
