Children’s Lunch Hour
The Naperville Park District’s popular summer activity, Children’s Lunch Hour Entertainment, is back!
The first one of the season kicked off on June 11 with a magic show at Frontier Park. Kids were entranced by the magic, while enjoying an afternoon snack in the sun.
“With this magician out, it seems like the kids are really interacting, smiling, and wanting to participate so that’s great that they want to get involved,” said Beth Durso, program manager at the Naperville Park District. “It is great to see a smile on their face, it’s kind of why we do this.”
The magician had kids up on their feet and taking center stage as they helped him with magic tricks. There were food trucks for lunch, and a few booths were set up for games and giveaways.
New This Year
And a new addition this year, is a children’s book reading with Sourcebooks.
The lunch hours take place every Tuesday at 11:30 a.m. at either the Frontier Sports Complex or the Riverwalk Grand Pavilion. You can find more information on the park district’s website.
