Heather and Stacy are the minds behind Klique Creative, a brand boutique that just opened a new co-working space in Downtown Naperville.

“This is for work from home entrepreneurs and professionals, typically female because it seems a lot of times in the suburbs there are female entrepreneurs who are trying to balance work-life and tend to work out of their homes,” said Heather DeMonte, one of Klique Creative’s co-founders.

But Heather and Stacy don’t just run the office; they use it themselves, as they’re also entrepreneurs who previously worked out of their homes.

“Working at home is wonderful and for some people it works fantastic. I feel for others you get to a point where you’re ready to make that separation between home and work and you need help balancing that and I had been at home for almost 13 years and I hit that point and there was no balance,” said Stacy Amoo-Mensah, who co-founded Klique Creative with Heather. “I mean it never stopped and since I’ve been here I have noticed a huge difference in my ability to balance my time and when I’m home, really be home with my husband and kids.”

A sentiment co-worker Laura Gaskill, of Gaskill Creative has experienced first hand running her business out of her home.

“It was perfect at that time, until it wasn’t. Until I really found I was feeling a little isolated at home, I needed to get out of the house and put on professional clothes and have adult conversations that weren’t just client related,” said Laura.

After having her own office front for a few years, Laura recently made her way to Klique hoping to form more connections with other creatives.

“For me the opportunity to have some really powerful, accomplished professionals at my disposal and down the hall is really, really important and will help me grow and hopefully find new clients as well,” added Laura.

Featuring community seating, reserved desks and dedicated offices, the workspace offers the chance to focus in a quiet environment, something often lacking in a home office.

“We love it ourselves because it feels good to be in here but i love the idea that we’re helping other people be successful because we’re giving them a space to do some good work,” said Stacy.

The space opened in April, and currently has less than a dozen co-workers.

Forming a marketing collective that really “kliques.”
