Scott Elementary held a last day of school assembly to celebrate the end of the academic year, and it came with some surprises.
Students and staff surprised retiring principal Nick Micensky by honoring him through various ways.
The school’s music class sang a song dedicated to him, while teachers dressed up as past and future Mr. Micensky and recited a poem.
He’s been in the district for 40 years and a principal at Scott Elementary for 14.
Three other teachers were also retiring from their roles at Scott Elementary School.
