With more than 300 businesses calling downtown Naperville home, it’s no wonder that in 2001, the city’s Chamber of Commerce was looking for help meeting those business’s marketing and infrastructure needs. Thus they helped form the Downtown Naperville Alliance.
Throughout the past ten years, the group has been behind a number of events that draw shoppers into the downtown area, such as a classic car show, Harry Potter book release party, and Hometown Holidays.
In 2011, the Downtown Naperville Alliance created in app, which gives smartphone users access to a business directory and special discounts.
The alliance continues to play an integral part in promoting new, local restaurants and retailers.
