** UPDATE: Naperville police have made arrests regarding this incident.
The Naperville Police Department made two arrests, one adult male and one juvenile, late at night on October 16.
20-year-old Plainfield resident, Rickie L. Ellis II, was arrested and charged with a felony count of home invasion, residential burglary, and criminal trespass to residence.
The juvenile, who is also from Plainfield, was charged with the same three felony counts. Ellis was taken to the DuPage County Jail to await a bond hearing and the juvenile was taken the youth home to await a hearing.
Police are still looking for the third person who was able to escape by jumping out the third-floor window in a dark-colored sedan.
The police department reminds the public that a charge is merely an accusation and a defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
Gunfire at Modaff Road Apartment Complex
On October 16, the Naperville Police Department responded to the 1300 block of Modaff Road for a report of an individual with a weapon in an apartment complex.
When officers arrived around 2:50 p.m., they found multiple individuals in the hallway running from an apartment with a handgun. They ran from police back to the apartment where multiple shots were fired inside a bedroom by unknown individuals. No one was injured.
Ongoing Investigation
Police are questioning people of interest who were in the apartment. Officers are searching for one individual who jumped from a third-floor window and fled in a dark-colored sedan. At this point, police do not have a confirmed physical description of this individual.

Another Incident at Modaff Road
This is the second recent incident of violence in the 1300 block of Modaff Road.
An earlier event was a report of a stabbing of a man on October 10. The altercation occurred outside of the apartment building in the parking lot, near the vehicle garage following a brief confrontation.
This incident remains under investigation.
