A Naperville business is helping local schools, one snack at a time.
360° Painting
Brian Conrad and his wife Roxanne own a 360° Painting franchise in Naperville and are giving back to the community through their parent company’s charity, Kids Lift.
“I think having a painting company is actually a pretty unique opportunity to help the community because we’re really actually in the community’s homes and businesses everyday,” said Brian.
Kids Lift School Supplies Drive
In August, the couple participated in a school supplies drive that benefitted District 204. Now, they’re continuing that charitable spirit with a snack drive.
According to Feeding America, one in seven American students struggle with hunger, and collecting snacks for students to eat at school is one way to combat that problem.
A New Significance
That mission has taken on a new significance for the Conrads as their family grows.
“Interestingly, it has a whole new meaning to us, being able to help children, as this year we’ve actually welcomed our first baby daughter into the world – she’s five months old now,” said Brian. “And really seeing her and knowing the impact that we’re having on other children that might not have those same opportunities, that’s just an awesome opportunity for us to take.”
The Kids Lift school supplies drive in August was originally intended to benefit just Owen Elementary School, but was so successful, some of the supplies were donated across District 204 schools.
