Kids Try to Lick Cancer in Naperville

Some students set out to kick cancer by licking it out.

It all took place at All Saints Catholic Academy as part of a fundraiser for the third grade class entitled “Spring into HOPE: Help Us Lick Cancer.”

In a mission to be more involved in the community, the third graders voted to support the Lustgarten Foundation for pancreatic cancer research, and did it in the tastiest way possible by selling lollipops to raise money for the cause.

“For the children to have fun and also do good for a cause is such a blessing and it’s very touching and meaningful to all of us here. It shows us that any of the kids in any grade level can make a difference,” explained Ann Zediker, the local representative for the Lustgarden Foundation.

The kids will sell the lollipops everyday after school this week with each dollar going directly toward pancreatic research.
