KidsMatter held its 15th annual Youth and Family Volunteer Fair.
More than 500 potential volunteers visited the Municipal Center to find service venues that match their interests.
“It’s an event that’s important to the city. It’s important to the youth of our community. It’s important to the organizations who really do need assistance,” said Marketing & Event Director Bridget Hatch.
There were 35 non-profit organizations on-site. This gave kids multiple volunteer opportunities to choose from.
“I think this is a really good way to give back to our community because there’s a lot our community does for us so giving back is always a good thing to do,” said student Kate Gilfillan.
Families also had the option to sign up for volunteer slots. Kidsmatter offers year round opportunities to support the community.
