Kingsley Gets Blue Ribbon
Naperville’s Kingsley Elementary has just been announced as a National Blue Ribbon School.
The District 203 school is among 362 names to the U.S. Department of Education’s program.
Categories for Recognition
The honor is based on two categories – a school’s overall academic performance as measured by state assessments, or progress in closing achievement gaps between student subgroups and all students.
Statement from Superintendent
“We are honored to have Kingsley Elementary School named a Blue Ribbon School. This recognition affirms the hard work of our educators, families and communities in creating safe and welcoming schools where students master challenging and engaging content,” said 203 Superintendent Dan Bridges in a statement.
About the Program
This is the 37th year the National Blue Ribbon Schools Program has given out this recognition.
