You can make a difference in the life of a Little Friends client this holiday season.
The nonprofit is once again putting on its Giving Tree program for generous folks to donate a wish list gift to a Little Friends client.
You can stop by one of the six locations around Naperville to find the giving trees, where you can pluck a name and a request to fulfill.
“Probably the most important thing is how appreciative we are of the people in town who’ve been so helpful,” said President and CEO of Little Friends Mike Briggs. “[They support] not only those with special needs but also their families and the fact that maybe they can’t take care of their families in the way that they want to and if this makes their holiday even brighter they can know that they’ve had an impact on their lives as well.”
This year, 17 families, 30 adults, and 21 students are participating in the program.
Or you can shop from home on Amazon. Just search for “Little Friends Inc.” In the registry lists, and the gifts you purchase off there will be sent right to Little Friends offices for wrapping and delivery.
You can find the full list of giving tree locations on Little Friends’ website. And if you use Amazon Smile, you can choose Little Friends as your charity to give .5 percent of your purchases to the organization.
