Loaves & Fishes recently revealed the details for its latest strategic plan.
The non-profit invited volunteers and community leaders to celebrate the announcement.
The plan is titled “Lasting Impact” and will guide Loaves & Fishes through 2021.
Loaves & Fishes’ CEO Mike Havala explained their three aspirations for the coming years, including providing a more comprehensive approach to their clients’ health.
“A couple of key things we wanted to focus on with our new strategic plan – looking at clients’ physical health and also their mental or emotional health but also their financial health as well,” said Havala. “So looking a little more holistically at our clients’ health is an important part of our strategic plan.”
Their other aspirations include improving their volunteer experience and strengthening their financial position.
Loaves & Fishes’ food pantry served more than 18,000 individuals in DuPage County in 2018, including 7,500 children.
