Clark’s Car Care was recently awarded the Synchrony Financial 2018 “Working Forward” Small Business Award.
The grant gives Clark’s $10,000 to use for business growth, which they plan to put toward technicians’ training.
Clark’s also received another $10,000 to pass on to a local charity. That money will go to Care for Cars, a Dupage-based organization that helps people who are struggling to get to their jobs or job interviews due to transportation issues.
Matt and Laura Weber own Clark’s Car Care and say their community-minded model is what separates them from other businesses.
“I really, really, truly believe in giving into the community, and the community gives it back,” Matt said.
“How much we truly care about our customers, not only just our community outreach, but we have staff, you’re only as good as the people you hire, who care about our customers, and people know that, and they can feel that,” Laura said.
Clark’s Car Care is one of 10 winners across the country of the 2018 working forward award.
