NAHS Paint Your Pet Fundraiser

Last night, Pinot’s Palette played host to a fundraiser that created works of art, which were quite fetching.

Pinot’s Palette partnered with the Naperville Area Humane Society for an event that invited guests to paint portraits of their pets, to raise money for animals in need of a home.

Pam Bartlett, owner of Pinot’s Palette was happy to help the cause. “All day today we’ve been raising funds for the Naperville Area Humane Society,” she said. “We’ve got about 150 people painting their pets…and we also have some raffle items. Hopefully by the end of the night we’ll have raised almost two-thousand dollars.”

The Humane Society has worked with Pinot’s Palette before, and this fundraiser was one of the biggest yet. Participants submitted a picture of their own pet, and were then shown step by step, how to turn it into a masterpiece.

Participant Jacquelyn Rimkus commented, “We live in Naperville, so it’s here, it’s local. I’m a crazy cat lady, i have three cats, and we’ve rescued every single one, so it only felt right to do this and to be a part of it.”

But, if you’d rather take a picture with your pet instead of painting them, be sure to check out the Naperville Area Humane Society’s “Picture Pawfect” event on March 19th: http://www.napervilleareahumanesociety.org/events/picture-pawfect
