A dream trip turned into reality for a Naperville kid.
Jaxon Kernkamp and his family went to Wrigley Field for a Cubs game. The six-year-old saw some batting practice and even got a couple of baseballs from the opposing team.
Who Made it Happen?
Jaxon made it to the friendly confines thanks to the Make-A-Wish Foundation who fulfills the wishes of kids who have battled critical illnesses. The Highlands Elementary School student was diagnosed in 2018 with a Wilms tumor.

After four and a half months of chemotherapy, he’s now in remission, and able to fully enjoy the surprises the Cubs had in store – the most exciting of which was meeting his favorite player Anthony Rizzo!
