Our local library is doing their part to make sure students don’t fall into the summer slump.

Naperville Public Library’s summer reading program is in full swing.

The program offers something for all age groups, from toddlers under three years to adults.

Teens and adults can participate simply by diving into any books they want to read this summer, with rewards offered for every three books completed.

Children are encouraged to read for at least 15 minutes a day, to keep their reading skills from sliding this summer.

“We want to help students keep up with their learning so when they get back to school they are ready to jump back into the new year,” said Anne Bultman, Adult and Teen Services Supervisor at the Nichol’s Library.

As another way to learn, the library is offering summer reading clubs, with programs like robotics and quidditch for teens, and genealogy for adults.

You can sign up for the library’s summer reading program online or in person.
