Flag Raising Ceremony
The Naperville Marines held a flag raising ceremony in honor of the Marine Corp’s birthday.
“The guys that started this organization always had a flag raising either on November 10, the Marine Corp birthday, or a day before,” said Wayne Fischer, member of the Naperville Marines. “The important thing is that we do the flag raising of the Marine Corp flag and the U.S. flag here and that we honor our fallen men and women too.”

The group gathered at Veterans Plaza for the event.
Another birthday tradition is the Marine Ball, which will be tonight to honor and celebrate the United States Marine Corp
