It’s the season of giving and you can bring some holiday cheer with a donation to Toys For Tots.

For the 13th year the Naperville Park District Police will have multiple locations for the U.S. Marine Corps’ Toys For Tots program, a toy drive that aims to bring the joy of Christmas to less fortunate children.

Bringing Joy To Kids

“It goes with the season. It’s a chance to share the fact that you are so fortunate with others who might not be quite so fortunate,” said Naperville Park District Police Chief Carl Schnibben. “It’s a no-brainer charity, what more could you want to do in this season?”

To date, Toys For Tots has distributed more than 560 million toys, and Naperville is contributing to some of that.

“Every year since we started doing it, the folks in Naperville have been extremely generous,” said Schnibben. “By the time our efforts are concluded this year on December 14, I’d anticipate we have taken 6-7 pickup trucks full of toys over to the warehouse in Woodridge.”

Toys For Tots asks you don’t donate any stuffed animals, and you can find a full list of collection box locations on their website.
