The results of the Riverwalk Survey are in!
After over 1800 responded, covered bridges and the pathway, the Dandelion Fountain and Centennial Beach were ranked as the most important parts of the Riverwalk experience.
When looking at improvements to be made, those surveyed said expanding the Riverwalk on to the empty lot on Washington Street just north of Burger King would be their top priority. The project of least priority: the preservation and maintenance of the Carillon and Moser Tower in which it is housed – the full cost of restoration for which was recently estimated by city officials at up to $3.8 million.
About 60 percent of the respondents visit the Riverwalk either monthly or a few times a year.
