The Naperville Police Department, along with the Naperville Park District Police want to give you a ticket with a twist.
“For the fourth consecutive summer in a row, we have our Citations for Safe Biking and what the whole initiative is about is it’s an educational program to reward safe bicyclists in our town,” said Crime Prevention Specialist with the Naperville Police Department, Mary Browning.
Kids and adults exhibiting these good habits can earn a ticket redeemable for one free ice cream cone at the Riverwalk Café, located near Rotary Hill.
The police department is hoping to give out 1,000 safe biking citations this summer.
A tip from Browning, you must be wearing a helmet to receive one of these sweet citations.
