Neuqua Valley’s Red Carpet Rally

The fourth annual “Red Carpet Rally” was a flashy pep rally where student accomplishments were recognized in front of all of their peers.

Neuqua Valley’s state title winning rugby team, Riziki Covington, winner of ACT-SO’s National Earth and Space Science Competition, and Joyce Zhou, who was selected as a student delegate by the International Monetary Fund were just some of the people being recognized.

“We live in a very competitive state, a very competitive nation. For students and staff to be at the top in whatever they’re competing, whether it’s the IMF like Joyce or distinguishing themselves in ACT-SO, or in rugby, that’s an amazing thing to be on a national or state stage,” said Neuqua Valley Principal Bob McBride. “It’s worth celebrating.”

Another big achievement being celebrated was Neuqua Valley being named a National Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education this year.

Neuqua Valley was one of just forty high schools nationwide to receive the honor.
