Another new subdivision may be coming to Naperville.
The Planning and Zoning Commission recently extended a public hearing on the rezoning of land on Book Road, next to the River Run subdivision.
JHL Developments is seeking low-density residential R1A zoning for the land, currently owned by Zion Lutheran Church.
However, city staff does not support the requested R1A zoning since neighboring subdivisions like River Run are zoned R1. They say the different requirements for each code could result in an inconsistent look from subdivision to subdivision.
The proposed subdivision would contain eight custom built homes of at least 3,000 square feet.
The developer will continue working with city staff to come to an agreement before the case is heard again on May 2.
