North Central College may soon have more space in Downtown Naperville.
At the most recent Planning and Zoning Commission meeting, the college got unanimous approval from the board to rezone the property located at 40 East Jefferson Avenue from Secondary Downtown to College/University property.
The college plans to renovate the building located here to house faculty offices and meeting rooms for about ten staff members with the college.
While the commission approved, the City of Naperville does have rights to the west ten feet of the property for future parking needs. The college would sell that portion of the property to the city if it was deemed necessary.
The request will now go to City Council for final approval.
