North Central College’s new science center has a new name.
The $60 million dollar building will now be known as the Dr. Myron Wentz Science Center. Alumnus and honorary trustee Dr. Myron Wentz made a substantial gift to name the 125,000 square foot center.
Dr. Wentz earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from North Central in 1963 and eventually went on to earn his Masters and PhD. The college will formally dedicate the Wentz Science Center during homecoming activities in October.
And if the name sounds familiar, no surprise, as the Wentz Concert Hall on campus is also named in the doctor’s honor.
