In the fall of 1997, teenagers in south Naperville stepped foot inside the city’s newest school for the first time. Neuqua Valley High School opened its doors to 950 freshman and sophomores after three years of construction. The nearly $62-million campus is home to 124 classrooms, television studio, seven computer labs, and a top-notch auditorium.
In 2003, the gold campus opened for freshman to reduce overcrowding in the main building.
Since opening, the school’s had several notable accomplishments, including becoming a Grammy Signature School and state championships in various sports including men’s cross country. Today, roughly 4,000 students attend Neuqua Valley High School.
