Here in Naperville, summertime means story time at the Riverwalk
Librarians from all three Naperville Public Library branches set the stage at the Riverwalk Amphitheatre to dance, tell stories, sing songs and even perform a puppet show.
“Well I think it’s great because it gets a lot of outside community, not just people in Naperville, but from all over,” said Susan Krippelz, a mom at the event. “And honestly it is a great location too, everyone comes down to the Riverwalk on nice days.”
Families sat on blankets and ate snacks as they watched. But as the show started moving, so did the kids.
“Motions are really fun so we did a lot of bouncing and waving. Some kids like to be active so it’s a great way to keep them involved in the story,” said 95th Street Librarian Christine Feddor, one of the organizers of the event.
You can catch these shows Tuesday nights from 7-7:45 p.m. and Wednesdays from 10:30-11:15 a.m. They’re run through August 2.
