The kids were jumping for joy at the summer’s first Naperville Park District children’s lunch hour.

Leading the songs was children’s musician Todd Downing who entertained the crowd with his “Tall Tales and Silly Songs” show.

The event drew out a crowd of 150 for the 45-minute performance, offering parents a chance to keep their young ones busy in the summer.

“It’s great to get the children out, get them outside to hear some music or a magician or just something to get the kids engaged and something really fun for the kids to do kind of around the lunchtime hour,” said Naperville Park District employee Stacey Fontechia.

The show encouraged kids to get up and participate with lots of dancing, singing, and even a conga line.

The concerts are held on Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m. and alternate between the Riverwalk Grand Pavilion and Frontier Park.
