There’s Black Friday, Giving Tuesday, and Cyber Monday, but this year don’t forget to shop on Small Business Saturday.
On November 25, over 60 local downtown businesses will participate in Small Business Saturday.
“It’s important to support small businesses every day of the year but especially at the holiday time,” said Executive Director of the Downtown Naperville Alliance Katie Wood. “These are businesses that put heart and soul into Naperville, that have for years and years and years. Whether it’s Dean’s Fine Clothing, Beidelman Furniture, Artistic Creations, Anderson’s Bookshop, we have so many wonderful local businesses in our community. And it’s just very important to support them.”
Downtown Naperville has been a part of Small Business Saturday for the past eight years, offering more coupons and specials with each season.
“They’re really getting into the spirit of things and they’re really going to be celebrating with special sales and maybe some nice warm drinks and things like that in their stores to just really welcome during this holiday season,” said Wood.
Small Business Saturday was founded by American Express as a shopping tradition to celebrate communities across the country.
You can support local businesses by giving a Downtown Naperville gift card this holiday season.
