A trial date of November 28th has been set for the man accused of setting fire to the tent of a well-known Naperville squatter.
James Povolo has been charged with arson and criminal damage to property, after an incident that took place on July 18th last year.
On that day, Scott Huber’s tent was set on fire, near the southeast corner of Ogden Avenue and Naper Boulevard. Huber was not in the tent at the time, but his makeshift home and its contents were destroyed.
After his latest status hearing, when asked if he had any comment, Povolo replied, “People make mistakes.”
He’ll have another status hearing October 25th.
